(Adnkronos) – Il presidente Donald Trump vorrebbe che il nuovo stadio dei Washington Commanders, in costruzione a Washington D.C. e del valore di quasi quattro miliardi di dollari, porti il suo nome. Lo riferisce Espn, citando fonti a conoscenza del retroscena, secondo cui il desiderio del presidente sarebbe gi\u00e0 stato comunicato al proprietario della squadra dell’Nfl, il miliardario Josh Harris.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Il nuovo impianto sorger\u00e0 sulle ceneri del vecchio Robert Kennedy Stadium, storico stadio che ha ospitato i Commanders dal 1961 al 1996. “Sarebbe un bellissimo nome, considerato che il presidente Trump ha reso possibile la ricostruzione”, ha dichiarato la portavoce della Casa Bianca, Karoline Leavitt.\u00a0<\/p>\n

La scelta potrebbe tuttavia scatenare proteste, visto che Washington \u00e8 una delle citt\u00e0 pi\u00f9 antitrumpiane del Paese. Un portavoce della societ\u00e0 non ha commentato. Intanto Trump \u00e8 atteso domani allo stadio per la partita dei Commanders contro i Detroit Lions, occasione che potrebbe dare un primo assaggio della reazione del pubblico al possibile ‘Trump Stadium’.\u00a0<\/p>\n
