Alla domanda che per anni ha appassionato fan e giornalisti ha risposto lo stesso direttore d&#8217;orchestra napoletano, sciogliendo ogni dubbio con la sua proverbiale ironia: &#8220;Sopra l&#8217;Arno \u00e8 Beppe, sotto l&#8217;Arno \u00e8 Peppe&#8221;.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Un gioco geografico che legittima entrambe le versioni, ma che lascia chiaro il suo legame con la tradizione napoletana: lui stesso si firmava &#8220;Peppe&#8221;. Per anni molti lo hanno chiamato Beppe senza sapere del piccolo equivoco. E lui? Sorrideva bonariamente, accogliendo lo sbaglio con un rimprovero gentile e un&#8217;aria divertita, come solo un maestro dalla simpatia sincera sa fare. In fondo, Vessicchio resta un uomo per ogni latitudine: un Peppe sotto il sole di Napoli, un Beppe sopra il fiume Arno, un volto popolare per tutti gli italiani.
